Overwatch's Newest Hero is Orisa

02 March, 2017, 21:15 | Author: Nadine Todd

All the signs pointed to the corresponding Fashion Week taking place in Paris, along with some little hints strewn about in the game.

After break-ins in Numbani, a mysterious shopping list and various other clues, Blizzard have finally revealed the newest hero that will be joining Overwatch.

What are your thoughts on the new Overwatch hero?

Orisa is a new robotic Omnic character that has an enormous four-legged body.

Orisa's backstory is that she comes from a line of robots that were previously used to protect cities. Called Orisa, the character belongs to the Tank class and is capable of placing shields on the map to protect allies.

Her primary gun, called Fusion Driver, is a projectile cannon that can deliver sustained damage-but like D.va, slows her movement while she fires it.

Protective Barrier - Orisa throws out a stationary barrier that can protect her and her allies from enemy fire. In the Overwatch world, Efi is inspired to build Orisa out of the wreckage of an OR15 defense robot after witnessing an attack by Doomfist, one of Overwatch's most notorious villains (who has yet to appear as a playable hero in the game itself, to some fan's dismay).

Fortify: Temporarily reduces damage she takes, and can't be affected by action-impairing effects. While the test realm is exclusively for PC players, the patch releasing Orisa isn't too far away now for Xbox One and PS4. Her Ultimate is Supercharger, which launches a device that buffs damage done by any teammates in its line of sight.
