  • The Huawei P10 sports a dual-camera setup with 20MP and 12MP rear modules along with an 8MP front-camera with f/1.9 aperture

According to PC Advisor, the Huawei P10 Lite is available for pre-order on EE, Vodafone, and Carphone Warehouse. All those who order the device will receive a gift box worth Euro 150, with a power bank, cigarette light charger, charger cable and selfie stick. It will be available during pre-sales for Euro 659.99, although customers can also pay in installments (EUR 179.99 entry-fee + Euro 20 x 24 months). The good news is the 8-megapixel selfie camera does have Huawei's "portrait shot" technology, generating the blurred background effect when you take pictures using the front camera. 4GB of RAM makes it ideal for multimedia streaming, gaming and any other power intensive task.

The launch of Lite series also marks the debut of Huawei's Knuckle Sense input technology that enables customers to create shortcuts by tapping or drawing on the screen to capture screenshots.

As a routine, it has now launched the third variant of the series called Huawei P10 Lite which is available for pre-order in selected European markets. While the details aren't shown in the slide, it has been revealed that the P10 Lite is going to be equipped with a single 12MP resolution camera at the back, paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens. It seems that Huawei has made a decision to take the cheaper model in a slightly different direction from the "flagship" variants, adopting a different construction, in addition to dual-camera system eliminating the use of a "mid-range" hardware.

The new Huawei P10 marks the return of the Chinese telecommunication giant, bringing in some features that make the upcoming device seems like a minor upgrade of a previous model.

All in all, it sounds like the P10 Lite won't be a bad choice for someone who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a new phone. For selfies, the P10 Lite will feature an 8MP sensor on the front. However, the home button has been binned and the fingerprint scanner moved to the rear of the phone, similar to that found on last year's Huawei P9.

The 5.1 inch P10 runs Huawei's snappy Kirin 960 2.4GHz octa-core processor alongside 4GB RAM, a choice of 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via MicroSD and a 3,200mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Huawei's own EMUI 5.1 on top.

Unsurprisingly, the Huawei P10 Lite is getting a 3,000 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the flagship's 3,200 mAh.

If you want to buy the Huawei P10 Lite on contract here in the United Kingdom, you can head to Carphone Warehouse, EE or Vodafone.
