The four were filmed by a closed-circuit TV camera as they observed the assassination unfold at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 on February 13, when two Southeast Asian women accosted Kim Jong Nam in the departures lounge and smeared a deadly nerve agent on his face, according to Malaysian police.

"The leader noted that the success made in the current test marked a great event of historic significance as it declared a new birth of the Juche-based rocket industry", the KCNA said, adding that the latest test reduced the country's dependence on the technology of other countries.

The seventh man is believed to be one Chang Nam Un, who is in his mid-30s, the paper quoted a source as saying.

The initial research said that commercial satellite imagery showed extensive tunneling at the Pungye-ri Nuclear Test Site.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said on Saturday that negotiations with Pyongyang to secure the exit of Malaysians stuck in North Korea would take place in a matter of "days".

He said: "If North Korea takes actions that threaten South Korean forces or our own forces, that will be met with an appropriate response".

The suspected female assassins have been arrested and charged with Kim's murder.

Mr Kim became dizzy and unwell after one woman stood in front of him in the busy departure hall to distract him, as the second accomplice approached him from behind, pulled a cloth from a blue handbag, reached around his head and pressed it onto his face. His body remains unclaimed at the morgue of the Kuala Lumpur general hospital.

Malaysia has received a request from North Korea for Kim Jong-nam's body and officials have said it will be handed over when medical and police checks are completed.

The tougher U.S. talk followed two North Korean nuclear tests past year and recent missile launches that Pyongyang described as practice for an attack on U.S. bases in Japan.

Seoul has blamed Pyongyang for his death, but the North has rejected those claims and has never confirmed the identity of the victim, who was carrying a passport bearing the name of Kim Chol when he was attacked.
