The Packers cut Davis two weeks later and he was picked up by the New York Jets, but cut the next day.

Davis was the team's third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but he failed to live up to expectations in Kansas City despite substantial buzz entering the league. He ultimately re-signed with the Chiefs last November. As a sophomore he finished second in rushing (1,322 yards) in the SEC behind Cam Newton, but missed his junior season with an injury.

He has 250 carries for 805 yards, a 3.2-yard average, and 11 touchdowns in his four seasons. Shortly after the former Kansas City Chiefs back came to Pittsburgh for a visit, he was given, and agreed to terms, on a one-year contract.

Davis would provide a versatile threat in the backfield and have a feather in his cap most running backs don't have, and that is the ability to also double as a kick returner.

He started the first two games of the 2016 season but was soon replaced and was inactive for the Ram's fourth game of the season and finished with 10 tackles with the team. Signed to a three-year $15 million contract by the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, Sensabaugh only last four games with the Rams before being released.

Sensabaugh probably best fits with the Steelers as a backup slot defender and special teams player.
