Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi pushed back against the tougher USA line on North Korea, reiterating his country's view that the only way to rein in its reclusive neighbor is through talks. In a report from the Daily Star, retaliation was promised for so much as "even a single bullet" being fired into the territory of the DPRK.

During the 2016 presidential campaign and since he took office, Trump criticized China for militarizing the South China Sea and warned about the changes he will make on US' trade relationship with the country.

Tillerson told South Korean officials Sunday that a new range of security and diplomatic measures are being explored, Express reports. "Let me be very clear: this policy of strategic patience has ended".

While Tillerson has said a key component of his new effort involves pressing China - North Korea's main ally and economic lifeline - to better enforce United Nations sanctions, Wang said the matter is primarily between the US and Pyongyang. But if Pyongyang were to "elevate the threat of their weapons program to a level that we believe requires action, then that option's on the table". They have also discussed about the common interests of the United States and China. In early March, according to The Independent, North Korea vowed to "mercilessly foil the nuclear war racket of the aggressors with its treasured nuclear sword".

Kim Jong-Un attended the March 18 test at the Sohae launch site, according KCNA, which said the test was meant to confirm the "new type" of engine's thrust power and gauge the reliability of its control system and structural safety.

NORTH Korean leader Kim Jong-un has successfully tested a new high-thrust engine at its Tongchang-ri rocket launch station, officials from the secretive state have claimed.
