Sony Just Announced Another New Phone: The Xperia L1

  • Sony announces Xperia L1 budget smartphone

It comes in black, white or pink colour schemes, and sports a 1.45GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor and 2GB of RAM.

Proof of this is the newly introduced Sony Xperia L1, a phone oriented towards the mid-low range with a price and design really attractive.

Described as "An Xperia smartphone that performs as good as it looks" - top grammar there, guys - the phone includes Sony's Xperia Actions, which changes settings depending on your surroundings.

The Xperia L1 runs Android 7.0 Nougat and features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280) LCD display. There is anticipated release date for now, same with the suggested retail price for the Sony Xperia L1. There is 16GB of internal storage, but that can be expanded by up to a further 256GB through microSD card.

Sony says that the Xperia L1 will be comfortable to hold, thanks to the smooth rounded frames of the device. We are not left disappointed as Sony became the latest tech company to launch a new smartphone.

The photographic section of the Sony Xperia L1 is in line with the rest of the phone, and it incorporates a 13 megapixel rear sensor while the front is 5 megapixels.

On the connectivity front, the Xperia L1 has dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C. One handset that has crashed the Sony Xperia X party is the seemingly forgotten Sony Xperia L1. To extend battery life, you can use Sony's STAMINA mode feature as well, although it will degrade performance, something that is not very desirable on a budget Android smartphone. No word yet on exactly when though.
