  • 'Deadliest Catch': Allegations against Sig Hansen 'does not impact the show'

Legal drama incoming for Deadliest Catch star Sig Hansen, who is now being accused in court of molesting his daughter almost three decades ago, based on new court documents released uncovered by the media.

The charges of the alleged molestation have come from Hansen's daughter, who claims in a sworn deposition that her father used to sketch her when she was only two years old, and he would require her to be naked as he would draw her.

A deputy prosecutor's letter, written in August 1990 to Eckstrom's mother, states that "the information at hand suggests that Mr Hansen has acted in a sexually inappropriate manner" towards his daughter.

Eckstrom also claims that she remembers being alone in a room with her father and "crying out in pain" because he allegedly touched her genital area.

"This is nothing more than an old-fashioned shakedown".

Initially, too, according to the outlet, Eckstrom only filed the case using her father's initials to protect his identity, since he is a public figure. She's also a lawyer, and she's suing her father for molesting her when she was 2 years old.

The county deputy prosecutor's letter states mentions that they could "not prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt", but adds that they believe the toddler was molested.

"It's a completely frivolous lawsuit full of lies that my ex-wife made up to take away my daughter, and still uses to try to extort money from me", he said in a recent interview.

His lawyers attempted to have the case thrown out on the claim that he was exonerated of the abuse when the allegations first arose, but their request was denied.

She then recounts saying during a medical examination that "daddy puts his finger in my potty-pot, ' and telling both her grandmothers that 'daddy pottied on my leg".

A doctor who examined her said the findings were "rarely seen in children without a history of sexual abuse", as quoted in the court declaration.

"The sketch shows characters named "'mommy" and "daddy" and a little girl representing Eckstrom. Do you think Sig Hansen molested his daughter?

But the famous reality TV sea captain has vigorously denied Eckstrom's accusations, saying it's "an old-fashioned shakedown" attempt after he refused to pay her law school admission costs to the tune of $300,000.

Eckstrom said that she wants her day in court to get justice for the wrong that was committed against her.
