Fox News pulls Napolitano after his Trump wiretap claims

The President first made the allegations on Twitter earlier in March.

Asked how Trump's golf outings were different from Obama's, Spicer said: "You saw him utilize this as a opportunity with Prime Minister (Shinzo) Abe to help foster deeper relationships in Southeast Asia, in Asia rather, and have a growing relationship that's going to help US interests".

GCHQ rejected Napolitano's claims that it helped surveil Trump for Obama in 2016.

The two played a total of 27 holes in a single day at two of Trump's golf clubs near Mar-a-Lago, the president's winter resort where he has spent most weekends since taking office.

GCHQ said the claims made by the White House were "nonsense".

But that did not stop Trump from bringing them up again.

Following Rogers pointing out that it would be a violation of United States law to do so and that American intelligence has a close relationship with Britain, Rogers was then asked if he believed that this claim does damage to the relationship.

It has also been revealed - through golf blogs and media reports - that Trump has played with top professional golfers such as Rory McIlroy, one of the top-ranked golfers in the world.

Donald Trump's frequent trips to the golf course and to his Florida resort have generated even more controversy given his calls for greater fiscal responsibility in his proposed budget, with deep cuts to many agencies including cutting funding to PBS and other arts-related groups as well as Meals on Wheels.

Donald Trump practices his swing at the 13th tee of his new Trump International Golf Links course near Aberdeen, Scotland in 2011. He has visited the course all 10 times he has golfed since becoming President.

"President Obama has a major meeting on the NYC Ebola outbreak, with people flying in from all over the country, but chose to play golf!"

"I don't know how angry he is", Mastromonaco said.

He's the Tiger Woods of hypocrisy.

The only time we saw him play golf with a leader, the president gave Japan's prime minister a pat on the shoulder. "We have to work".

But if Obama did order the NSA to prepare transcripts of Trump's conversations last fall under the pretext of national security - to find out whether Trump was communicating with the Russians would have been a good excuse - there would exist somewhere a record of such an order.

Now, citing the President's privacy, Trump's aides are left trying to hide the President's frequent golfing.
