Gary Cahill reveals why he went 'beserk' after scoring Chelsea's late victor

"But, when you change, for sure there is a greater possibility to score the goal but also to concede a goal".

"I think my players are fully in my idea of football, fully in the method".

Runaway Premier League leaders Chelsea have continued their relentless progress, moving 13 points clear at the top of the table as Gary Cahill scored a late victor in a hard-earned 2-1 win away to Stoke City.

"Which brings us back to why everyone thinks Chelsea are unlikely to fold - the defence is infuriatingly solid if you are trying to break them down".

Conte had been without the in-form Eden Hazard through injury for what always promised to be an awkward fixture for Chelsea at Stoke and, just as they had recently held Manchester City at home, the Potters again made life hard.

Champions Leicester continued their resurgence with a 3-2 win at West Ham, while Eddie Howe's Bournemouth sealed back-to-back victories for the first time this season after seeing off Swansea 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

"Diego Costa draws fouls and tries to make most of contact - when they are not fouls".

"In the past sometimes he has been given two yellow cards".

Chelsea looked the more likely winners in the second half as Marcos Alonso and Costa hit the woodwork and Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant denied Pedro.

The Blues have been the Premier League's standout team this season following the arrival of Antonio Conte as the club's new manager last summer.

And it was no coincidence that one of the first players he wanted to hail was Diego Costa, his famously tempestuous striker who, having received an early booking, kept his discipline - just about - under considerable provocation in the Stoke furnace.

For Conte, who believes Chelsea require a further 21 points from their final 1o matches to secure their sixth title, this was an especially pleasing victory achieved without Eden Hazard, who suffered a calf strain in training.
