As per the reports of Financial Express, Diwan requested the administration of Guinness Books of World Records to enlist the name of Rahul Gandhi for losing as many as 27 elections in the country.

On Monday, an engineering student Vishal Diwan, who hailed Madhya Pradesh proposed the name of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in Guinness Book of World Records for losing 27 elections in the country. Yes, this is the demand what this student made.

If he is not interested in leading the party, he should quit the post, said Youth Congress state vice president and "I" group loyalist C R Mahesh. Also, this number of consistent failures are much to get into the record books.

Diwan has also paid the enrollment fees for the same. However, it is yet to be clarified whether the USA based record book will entertain such type of request or not.

Rahul Gandhi does not stand from it again and they put up a scapegoat.

However, the Guinness Book of World Record has not confirmed whether it will approve such a request or not.

The Congress leader, a Rajya Sabha MP who earlier headed the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, said a conclusion will be given to the party leadership as part of the review exercise once inputs are received from state Congress leaders.

Rahul Gandhi had talked of structural and organisational changes after the result of assembly polls to five states.
