  • Journey to Un'goro Release Date Revealed

After waiting for what seems like an eternity for the new expansion to arrive, die-hard Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft players - and the casual ones, too - can finally take their long-awaited journey to Un'Goro.

Journey to Un'Goro introduces a prehistoric theme to Hearthstone, with numerous minions and spells featuring dinosaurs, dino themes, and a new "Adapt" keyword.

Blizzard is beefing up Hearthstone as it plans to launch Year of the Mammoth in the game. Other than that, the developer is also changing how the game is usually played. "Players from around the world are trekking into the heart of this primeval land on a mission to learn about the local inhabitants, harness astonishing elemental energies, and discover powerful minions hidden in the thick jungle mists - all while excavating 135 new Hearthstone cards to add to their collections". These cards require players to hit particular goals, like summoning Deathrattle minions in the game. And here's one of the new Quest cards. In addition, minions can adapt things in the game. They will have three choices from increasing more health, using a shield or upgrading the attack power of the card. The expansion will be arriving later this month on April 6th for all platforms.

Since the expansion is about dinosaur cards, Blizzard revealed another type of card that belongs or can be considered legendary, called Tyrantus.

Blizzard's latest patch also adds a new Rogue Hero and paves the way for Fireside Gathering improvements, as well as fixing a few bugs.

For a closer look at what you'll encounter on the Journey to Un'Goro, be sure to read our rundown of every card in the set, five of which might end up being broken-we'll have to see how that works out-and get some insights into those new Quests right here. They also have a chance of getting a Fossil pack if they pre-order already.
