  • Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue talks with Iman Shumpert in the second half in Game 2 of a first-round NBA basketball playoff series Monday

In fourth quarters? That number collapses to 90.1 points per 100 possessions on the offensive end and a defensive rating of 127.7.

Undoubtedly, the first provocation wasn't delivered by the Clippers, who are down 1-0 to the Jazz in the best-of-seven series that resumes Tuesday night at Staples Center. LeBron James finished with 25 points while Kevin Love had 27 points. "We're right there where we know what we can become if we figure it out".

James added 10 rebounds and seven assists while winning his 19th straight first-round game. Overall we shot ball in the paint 35 times and we had 15 free throws - for the game.

CLEVELAND - After another excruciating loss in which the Indiana Pacers almost came all the way back from a late double-digit deficit before succumbing to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Paul George had blunt criticism for more of his teammates.

On Saturday, Stephenson torched the Cavaliers for eight points in the fourth, and his star teammate followed up with 12 of his own on Monday night.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Blown big leads.

Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said Smith "tried to give it a go" for the third quarter, but said "it was not smart" to play.

"I thought we lost our composure and got frantic out there", McMillan said of his team's third-quarter problems.

"When you see your teammate actually sit there and take the charge, and we're not rewarded with the call, it goes the other way", James said. "We've gotta take care of the basketball".

However, it was the Cavs' turnovers that allowed the Pacers to stick around, cutting a 13-point Cleveland lead down to five.

The questions began after George criticized C.J. Miles for taking the final shot in a one-point loss in Game 1 at Cleveland. "We're right there on turning the switch on what we really can become", James said. "I never do. Sometimes players just say things differently than coaches", George said.

Game 3 is Thursday night.

George, sounding nearly like the coach of the Pacers rather than a player, said Stephenson needs to control his emotions and keep his head in the game. "We know we've got an opportunity to clamp down and make baskets and get ourselves back in the game". Yet with a straightforward romp to victory beckoning, Cleveland again made life hard for themselves, with errors allowing IN to compile an eight-point run that slashed the lead to just seven points at 109-102 with 2:42 remaining.

James led the way for the Cavaliers with 32 points and 13 assists to go along with six rebounds in Game 2. George has made at least one 3-pointer in 19 consecutive playoff games.

This marks the first time in the playoffs that the Big 3 all scored 20 or more points.

Teague landed awkwardly on his right hand early in the third quarter as Love slid over in hopes of drawing the change. Cleveland G Iman Shumpert didn't play at all in Game 1.

With a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series, the Cavs locker room was upbeat. He was a free agent after being released by the New Orleans Pelicans, who needed his roster spot because he was injured. The 28-year old was able to score 10 straight points whilst being guarded by Pacer guard Lance Stephenson.
