According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the attacker died of his wounds and the IDF confirmed the report.

An Israeli man, 60, was injured in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank that ended with the Palestinian driver being shot to death by soldiers.

He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital, an army spokesperson said.

According to Ma'an documentation, Mashahra is the 19th Palestinian to have been killed by Israelis since the beginning of the year.

The victim was conscious, "but disoriented" after the attack, a medic said.

The wounded civilian was taken for medical treatment, the army said.

A man of about 60, attacked by a Palestinian terrorist in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem, is being treated at a Jerusalem hospital.

The military said it was certain the car-ramming was an attack, based on footage of the incident and the fact that a knife was found inside the vehicle.

A wave of street attacks by Palestinians in Israel, Jerusalem and the Israeli-occupied West Bank since October 2015 has killed 37 Israelis, two American tourists and a British student.

The Israeli authorities, meanwhile, say at least 48 Israelis have been killed in attacks by Palestinians over the same period.
