  • Uber Central May Destroy Corporate Car Service Accounts

In some cases, Bogard said, Uber Central can be used to replace old ways of doing things. However, if businesses need the ability to request hundreds of rides per hour they can work with Uber's enterprise sales team to accommodate those needs, the company said in a statement.

Previously, if the need arose, an employee could use the Uber app to have a auto pick up their client or customer.

The Uber Central dashboard, which is available worldwide, also lets employees track the status of rides.

Riders who use Uber via Central do not need an Uber account, and over 8,000 companies have participated in a pilot programme which tested the service.

At a time when Ola Corporate has seen massive growth in India, rival Uber too has launched its business solution Uber Central in India.

Uber's new update is virtually similar to the consumer version, except from now on despite of ordering a single ride, you may order multiple cars from the Uber Central interface. Those same settings trickle down to Uber Central, too, so that console operators are restricted to only the settings administrators allow.

Common Courtesy uses Uber Central to help people schedule one-off and recurring rides with Uber. That way, users can't "accidentally" expense a ride to go out clubbing on a Saturday night. From the Uber Central dashboard, which can be managed remotely or back at company headquarters, Agero staffers booked rides from any location where motorists may have been stranded. However, the on-demand ride-hailing service takes a 10 percent commission.

Ridesharing service Uber changed that game with the convenience and the cost savings it brought companies, proving to be 30% cheaper compared to using taxis. The business is now undergoing an internal investigation into allegations of gender-based discrimination, while Uber CEO Travis Kalanick is seeking leadership help after being caught on video arguing with a driver.

Uber for business was first launched in India in December 2015. Left doesn't now have a similar product, which gives Uber an advantage in a rough-and-tumble market.
