ASEAN 2017 National Organizing Council (NOC) director general for operations Marciano Paynor said the meeting with the Brunei leader will be held on April 28 and on April 29 with the Indonesian leader.

"As of now, President Trump, for instance, when President Duterte called him up to congratulate him had already indicated that he was coming in November", Paynor said.

According to MalacaƱang's chief protocol officer Ambassador Marciano Paynor, Trump made the confirmation during his earlier phone call with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte a year ago.

Duterte had a hard relationship with Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, as the former United States president criticized a series of killings tied to the Philippines leader's Drug War, prompting Duterte to tell Obama to "go to hell", calling him a "son of a whore", - for which he later apologized - and threatening that he might "break up with America". "But it's sometime in early May", Bolivar said, adding that the meeting is confirmed but the details are still being worked out. He was referring to the leaders of nine other ASEAN members states which include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Sultan Bolkiah and Widodo will be the second and third foreign leaders, respectively, who will pay the Philippines a visit during the Duterte administration.

"Si Trump, I don't know".

"Multilateral meetings of this sort, we usually expect 100% attendance".

The series of activities for the ASEAN Summit involve a total of 137 meetings, two summits, 17 ministerial meetings, 42 senior officials' meetings and 76 meetings of technical working groups.

Other heads of state from dialogue partners like the United States, Russia, Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea are also expected to attend. "And numerous leaders who do not attend do so because they have internal issues and-which prevents them from coming", Paynor said.

After the ASEAN meeting, Duterte and Widodo will fly to Davao to witness the launch of the Davao-Gensan-Bitung Roro route on April 30.

Manila will host the 30th Asean Summit on April 26-29.
