Donald Trump just called using his first 100 days in office to judge him a "ridiculous standard", but he repeatedly boasted about what he would achieve in that exact time frame before he took office.

Trump hits the 100-day mark on April 29. After a rocky period during his first few weeks, when an executive order to block the entry of citizens from six Muslim-majority countries was blocked by the court and his national security advisor, Mike Flynn, was obliged to stand down after it was revealed he lied about a conversation with a Russian diplomat.

None of the piece of legislation Trump touts in his plan have been enacted.

President Donald Trump is complaining that a deadline he set for himself for various policy plans is unfair.

Presidents are often judged by how productive their first 100 days in office are, and Trump's has thus far been somewhat of a mixed bag.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Mr Trump seized on a poll by Rasmussen Reports - a poll whose methodology was questioned by others - which suggested his approval rating stood as high as 49 per cent.

The first 100 days of a new administration are generally understood to be among the busiest, when a freshly-sworn-in president can begin making good on promises he made during the preceding campaign. But that's one of the Trump administration's "alternative facts".

"There are those that say I've done more than anybody in 100 days", Trump said February 28 on Fox.

"Not only has he accomplished nearly nothing, but rather his initiatives (executive orders stayed by courts, a major legislative proposal failing even to come to a vote when his party controls both houses, etc.) have notoriously been unsuccessful", he added.
