Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a bonus in-game assistant, Towelie: Your Gaming Bud, to give your hilarious advice and commentary throughout your adventure.

Ahead of their E3 press conference and after confirmation yesterday that South Park: The Fractured But Whole would release this year, Ubisoft have confirmed its new release date: October 17th.

Surprisingly, the trailer is not entirely about fart jokes, there's plenty of the rude and wonderful.

With crime on the rise in South Park, the streets have never been more risky. A mysterious vigilante prowls the night defending the innocent using fantastic fart powers. The town needs new heroes to rise! The Fractured But Whole is a sequel to 2014's Stick of Truth, although this game is developed by publisher Ubisoft's internal San Francisco studio rather than Obsidian Entertainment. They create the superhero gang, Coon & Friends, with Cartman as their leader as The Coon. Hooray! Ubisoft has slapped an October release date on the follow-up to The Stick of Truth, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The Fractured But Whole boasts a brand new combat system to The Stick of Truth, but don't worry fans, fart-based powers are still important, as you can see from the new trailer below. The Season Pass is included with the Gold editions.

South Park season 21 will premiere August 23 on Comedy Central.
