Earlier today, Wan shared a photo from the set of Aquaman, which is now shooting in Australia, showing off Heard's stunningly comic book accurate costume. This new costume differs in a few ways from Mera's Justice League look. "First day with the exquisite Amber Heard", James Wan captioned a tweet in which he shared the picture.

Aquaman's filming has begun in full swing.

Amber Heard, will be next seen in Zack Snyder's "Justice League" as Mera, alongside Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Henry Cavill. She posted a picture on Twitter with the note, "Meet Mera". For more updates on Aquaman and other DCEU stories, follow Pursue News on Facebook and Twitter. She joked that the "moment" when she had the photo taken had been preceded by prepping for more than a year for the role, training to look the part for six months, and denying herself "pleasure", in the form of "donuts". Contrary to that first impression, Heard's trainer and fellow actor, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, is working with the Aquaman actress in a football stadium, because he feels that's the place to get the equipment needed to give Heard that ripped Mera look. But the actress didn't share any images related to Aquaman until now.

Sporting a red wig and her character's shiny green suit, the 31-year-old star is already winning raves from comic fans on social media.
