Sig Hansen, Captain of the Northwestern crab-catcher vessel, a boat featured on the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch", looks on during qualifying for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, 2007 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

Hansen, one of the captains on the Discovery Channel reality series, was arrested for assault early Thursday after allegedly kicking an Uber driver's auto and spitting at the driver, KOMO News reports.

Speaking with KOMO News, Seattle Police Department spokesman Mark Jamieson said the Ballard incident occurred at 2 a.m. Police arrested Hansen in Shoreline shortly before 9:30 a.m. The driver informed the group Uber didn't allow him to accept cash, then stopped his Toyota Avalon in the 5800 block of 20th Avenue Northwest to let the passengers out.

This reportedly angered Hansen who apparently spat on the driver's head and back of his seat before getting out of the vehicle to kick it. When officers arrived they saw several drops of fresh-looking spit on the back of the driver's headrest and a dent in the vehicle.

Police reports say when officers confronted Hansen, he appeared "obviously intoxicated", denied the altercation happened and initially resisted arrest.

The driver said the trip was then canceled in the app, leading to a dispute over charges. "The driver drove away and called police". Not to mention, after getting out of the vehicle the sea captain also kicked the unnamed victim's auto. Hansen denied having an altercation when police questioned him at his home. Hansen has been a celebrity participant in past Syttende Mai festivities. That case is headed to the Appeals Court.
