  • Google Pixel 2 Better Processor

Google requires, the smartphone should be one of the first to run under Android O, the next version of the green robot whose release is scheduled for the 2017 reentry. Google Pixel 2 was found listed with the codename Walleye, Pixel 2 XL was listed with the codename Muskie and the Pixel 2 XXL variant was listed as Taimen.

Other rumored specs for the phone include a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is also used by the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Samsung's flagship, the Galaxy S8, now holds the title being the greatest Android smartphone this year. Concept Creator gave Pixel 2 a bezel-less design, which is one of high selling points today. Spotted on GeekBench, the latter should be powered by 4 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 835 processor, the same one that is present inside the USA version of the Galaxy S8.

The design also included dual cameras for the front and back of the Pixel 2. Samsung Display, the world's largest maker of OLED panels, already has its hands full with orders from Samsung Electronics and Apple. The search giant has a reputation of associating the size of its devices with their codenames. It stands in front of the Xperia XZ Premium, and is one of the most powerful Android devices now. The tech company is highly likely to announce some details of the next-gen Pixel 2 smartphones at its Google I/O developer conference. "Walleye" is what the Google Pixel 2 is known as internally. The third device is not sure yet. The Taimen returned scores of 1804 on a single core and 6284 in multi-core mode. While Samsung has the best design, top-notch hardware specs, and flagship features, this concept also confirms that Google can come in with its own unique offerings that will beat the hell out of the S8 and any other competition aimed at it, including the iPhone 8.

Still, the single-core performance is rather poor given the Galaxy S8's performance, and it's not immediately clear why Google can't get more out of the processor, if the tested device is indeed the real deal. Last year's Google Pixel and Pixel XL were priced at $649 and $769, respectively.

Google Pixel 2 is expected to launch in October, exactly a year after the original Pixel hit the store shelves, to capitalize on the holiday sales.
