Israeli troops arrested Yussef Derieh, an ambulance driver from the village of Aqraba, near the main northern West Bank city of Nablus, who veered his vehicle to the opposite lane and blocked the settler's auto.

The OIC called for proper global access to Palestinian detainees and prisoners as well as the inspection of their conditions, stressing that Israel as the occupying power must be held fully accountable for their well being.

The Israeli forces used tear gas, rubber bullets and live fire against thousands of protesters on Friday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said.

Hundreds of Palestinians took part in the march, leading to clashes in more than one location in Qalqilia governorate. "The prisoners are very determined and prefer to die in dignity rather than continue to be imprisoned in inhumane conditions", Shawan Jabarin, the director of the internationally-renowned Palestinian rights group Al Haq, based in Ramallah in the West Bank, told the African News Agency (ANA) during an interview earlier in the week.

The Israeli military says forces were sent to the scene to disperse a "riot". They were all treated at the scene.

The demonstration in Huwara was organized by Palestinian activists to show support for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel who for the last month have been waging a high-profile hunger strike.

Muataz Hussein Hilal died after the Israeli man shot into a crowd of people who were throwing rocks at his vehicle. The Israeli settler who shot and wounded a Palestinian man who threw rocks at his vehicle was detained, but was released after proving it was in self-defense.

Israeli special undercover units dressed as civilians, on Friday, kidnapped six Palestinian youth, during clashes that erupted at the northern entrance of Bethlehem city, in the southern West Bank, according to security sources.
