  • Destiny 2 gameplay reveal: Bungie tease major story details ahead of live stream event

The Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere takes place tonight on Twitch at 6PM in the United Kingdom, 7PM in Europe, 10AM on the US West Coast and 1PM on the US East Coast. Grinding levels and collecting loot is only fun if it feels fresh. A simple menu will show any clanmates that are online, and then you can just invite them to play with you. Destiny has always had great combat and brilliant level design, but it never managed to capture the moments of wonder I experienced when I first played Halo-at least, not until now. This is the new version of the successful IP which was developed by Bungie and for the first time will be made available in a PC version as well. Here are some of the biggest announcements and take aways from the event. We definitely have gotten strong feedback that people are interested in that. The idea of the game is that there is nowhere left for the Guardians to go.

In the middle of a raging storm, the guardians scan the cloudy horizon as they protect the last safe city on the planet. Players will also be able to purchase Destiny 2 with WoW tokens-yes you read that right.

The mode we managed to play in PvP was a control point based mission. Some users were unhappy with this news, but Luke Smith of Bungie wanted to clarify the matter and has thus explained the reasons why you cannot achieve 60FPS on the new console of Sony. It's not going to be a new beginning for the thousands of players who spent most of their gaming time shooting each other in the original Destiny. All experience and customizations from the first game will be wiped as players both new and old can mesh together come September. However, it wouldn't be that big a surprise, considering that most developers are trying to optimize their games for the likes of PlayStation 4 Pro and Project Scorpio anyway.

"Destiny 2" was finally presented yesterday.

Clans were available in the original Destiny but, it was only a tag under your user name. Strikes in Destiny started off fairly boring in year one, walking through waves of enemies until you are met with a bullet sponge boss. With the addition to Clans, we also will see Guided Games, which is Bungie's response to the complaints about Raid and Nightfall matchmaking. I absolutely love getting lost in games and finding secrets and discovering treasures, so I asked Lars if he could talk a bit more about the increased emphasis on this area of the game. So, if I'm not in Clan, I can still push a few buttons and get matched up with a group that's doing one.
