Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is growing increasingly frustrated at Arsenal's lack of activity over his new contract - opening up the prospect of him leaving this summer.
Chelsea have chose to join the chase for Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as reported by Sky Sports.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was a key part of the Arsenal team last term as the versatile midfielder finished with a return of two goals and nine assists in 29 appearances in the Premier League.
The player, who has just one year left on his contract, is also understood to be wanted by Liverpool and Manchester City.
The report goes on to say that there are a few of our big Premier League rivals keen to snap up the player so it seems pretty odd that Arsenal and Wenger are giving him any reason to consider whether it might be better to move on. The 23-year-old midfielder, who can also play as a winger or a wing-back, is now on vacation and he feels that he needs to move away from Arsenal to get more first-team opportunities.
Chamberlain has always been linked with a move away from the Emirates, with the English global reportedly becoming increasingly frustrated with the club's lack of urgency to renew his contract, set to expire next summer.
Liverpool have consistently been linked with Oxlade-Chamberlain over the last couple of months, and it is understood that the Reds will press ahead with their interest after learning of the player's unhappiness.
With midfielders Fabian Delph and Fernando thought to be up for sale and all of the club's senior right-backs released this summer, the Arsenal man could be quite a useful addition if City follow up on their interest with a move.
But according to Sky Sports, negotiations have stalled in recent days with the Gunners yet to table an official offer for the 23-year-old.
