  • Lawrence Taylor pleads guilty to DUI in where he hit cop car

Former NFL player Lawrence Taylor Lawrence has pleaded guilty to DUI with injury or property damage, according to court documents.

The former three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year crashed his 2010 Bentley Convertible on Florida's Turnpike and Florida Highway Patrol troopers claimed that he hit two vehicles, one of which was a patrol auto, before being stopped.

Taylor had been smoking cigars and smelled of alcohol, and had bloodshot, watery eyes and was unsteady on his feet. Taylor took two breathalyzer tests five hours after the crash that measured his blood-alcohol level at.082 and.084, above the Florida legal limit of.08.

He also has to complete 75 hours of community service, finish a DUI education program, avoid drugs and alcohol during his probation period, and he must install an interlock device on his auto for six months.

Troubled Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor has another conviction on his record. He has admitted to drug and alcohol abuse during his career and was suspended from the league for 30 days in 1988. Before the drunk driving arrest, Taylor's most recent arrest came in 2011 when he was charged with having sex with an underage prostitute at a NY hotel. He was sentenced to six years of probation.

Taylor appeared in the movie Any Given Sunday and was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2009.
