Three investigative journalists at CNN have resigned after the network retracted a story about a congressional inquiry into a link between a Russian investment fund and an American financier who is an adviser to PresidentTrump.
The story had stated that USA lawmakers were investigating a possible link between a Russian investment fund and Mr. Trump's officials. That story did not meet CNN's editorial standards and has been retracted.

CNN's public relations staff refuted Trump's notion that the network is hurting, saying it is completing the most-watched second quarter in its history.
The story connected entrepreneur and Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci to the alleged investigation into the fund.
Worse yet, members of the Trump administration are "high-fiving each other over Anthony's success in embarrassing CNN".
The most recent story resulted in a full retraction and relied on a single anonymous source.
As senior news executives reviewed the story's evolution, they found red flags that appeared to have been ignored, according to a person with direct knowledge of the events at CNN.
