Just yesterday, Apple quelled the thirst of the impatient among us by releasing the long-awaited iOS 11 Public Beta 1.

To install this Public Beta, users will have to enrol for iOS 11 program by visiting beta.apple.com from the iOS device they wish to install the software on and log in using their Apple ID, which will be followed by a verification code. The Photos app gets new tricks, you can now send money in Messages using Apple Pay, and Control Center and lock screen are getting some much-needed refinements too. If you would rather just wait, we've got you covered with a breakdown of the most game-changing features to whet your appetite. The download is free. Right now, that is iOS 10.3.2; you can get it here.

With the public beta program, you can download and install iOS 11 to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. For this, the users will require a registered UDID number. Open Safari browser in it and go to beta.apple.com/profile.

One can downgrade the OS until Apple stops signing the old OS.

From there, read and accept Apple's agreement.

Apple is also grouping screenshots in this thumbnail interface, so you can select multiple screenshots and drag and drop them into apps or share them. Under-the-hood changes will be seen as well, and a lot of these probably will be seen on iOS 11 beta. Ideally you should install the beta on a secondary device and keep in mind to back up your device data first. A tab called "Profile" will open, and you'll need to hit Install until your phone reboots. Tap on the Settings app on the iOS device, go to "General" then "Software update" then "Download and Install" and finally, "Install Now". And if you're already in the program from a previous beta, then you can just sign in. Also, it means that you can now download the update and experience the features hands-on. It's suddenly one of my favorite things in iOS 11.

Apple announced the all new iOS 11 update for its range of devices earlier this month. Obviously, your iPhone or iPad will be cooler than all your friends' are if you're running the new software before any of them. Such issues should be expected with a beta, and as such, you should install it on a secondary device and not your main device.

I've been using iOS 11 public beta for a week and I never knew that it had a secret little bit of 3D magic hidden inside.

AirDrop will also be different because AirDrop will have the ability to transfer the configuration profiles from one iOS device to another.
