President Donald Trump appeared thoroughly unimpressed as the French military band transitioned between popular Daft Punk hits during the Bastille Day parade.

Originally performed with Pharrell Williams on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, "Get Lucky" was described by Diffuser's Amy Sciarretto back then as "an elegant and stylish song with a looped beat that could inspire even the staunchest wallflower to get up and dance".

I love the cuts between Macron, smiling and enjoying "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and "Up All Night", and Trump, sitting their all steely gazed and confused, wondering why the band isn't playing "The Star Spangled Banner".

Among those in attendance were newly elected French president Emmanuel Macron and his United States counterpart Donald Trump. And because France is a Chill and Cool country, it celebrates by making its military play a bunch of Daft Punk, France's most accomplished robots. Unsurprisingly, it's entirely the sort of fun Pres. Donald Trump does not understand.

Fair enough, you're the Leader of the Free World, you maybe don't have time to keep up with the pop charts, but most people would at least try to feign an interest in what's going on directly in front of their eyes.

Or perhaps he's just bored silly.
