  • A, B, C, D subways disrupted due track fire in Harlem

It's another Monday in paradise, and the subway is snarled with delays thanks to a track fire at 145th Street.

The FDNY received a call regarding a track fire at 145th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue in Harlem at 7:24 a.m., according to a spokesman. Some were taken for hospital examinations, but no serious injuries were reported.

There will be no D trains between Columbus Circle and Yankee Stadium.

"We're stuck on a s/b D train near at the 145th stop vehicle # 2536".

The MTA announced the service changes around 8 a.m.as the peak morning rush got underway.

About 15 minutes later she provided the update: 'They finally let us out due to a sick passenger.

Service on the C train between Euclid Avenue and 168th Street was suspended in both directions and D train service between 125th Street and Norwood-205th Street was suspended in both directions.

Twitter user Tamara Hansson tweeted, "Now me and several hundred other people are walking to the 145th 1 train". A train service south of 125th Street through Brooklyn is running local in both directions.

There were also huge delays in a similar area of Harlem last month after a train derailed at 125th Street station.

Monday's incident is the latest in a series of challenges commuters have been facing in recent weeks while trying to get around the Big Apple.
