Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in India that has a massive 5,000 mAh battery and is priced economically.

Panasonic has launched a new Android smartphone in India, the Panasonic P55 Max and the handset comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display. The P55 Max will be the sibling of the P55 and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart, and it will come in Matte Black and Gold color variants. The new Panasonic P55 Max will have a splendid 5000mAh battery and has been launched in India at Rs 8,499.

The display on the P55 Max is a 5.5-inch, 720p panel. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.25 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 Processor with 3GB of RAM.

Apart from the massive battery capacity, the Panasonic P55 Max comes with a quad-LED flash support coupled with the rear 13-megapixel sensor for improved low-light photography.

Another highlight of the device is that it comes with a 13MP rear camera with Quad LED flash, a rarity in the price range.

Software wise, the P55 Max runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with Panasonic's customised UI on top. It also has 5 megapixels front camera.

The device comes along with "ZigPlay" feature (to be received over-the-air) which will keep all your priorities at your fingertips with single use profiles and keeps you connected on the go home, in the auto, at work and ensures longer usage without a charge.

For connectivity, the device has a dual SIM - 3G/4G LTE configuration, direct Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Customers buying the phone will get 5% off they have have an Axis Bank credit card and 3 months unlimited data for INR 399 recharge on Jio plus an additional 30GB data over 6 months. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor. The smartphone measures 152x72.6x8.7mm and weighs 180 grams.
