  • VIDEO: Neymar marks Paris Saint-Germain debut with a goal against Guingamp

Following his world-record €222 million move from Barcelona, Neymar will make his Paris Saint-Germain debut on Sunday after being named in the starting XI to face Guingamp.

"It is always very important to score, not just in the first game".

Jordan Ikoko was the major culprit for the hosts when he netted an own goal in the 52nd minutes to the disappointment of his coach. I am very calm.

Neymar, playing on the left of a front three with Angel di Maria and Cavani, sealed the comfortable away victory for PSG in the 82Ndidi for their second straight league win.

Neymar was one of four Brazilians in the PSG line-up, not including Brazil-born Italy midfielder Thiago Motta, for the game played before a sell-out crowd at the 18,000-capacity Stade du Roudourou.

That was a sign of the interest generated worldwide by Neymar's transfer, which Qatar-owned PSG hope will help them conquer Europe after so far coming up short in the Champions League in recent seasons.

Neymar's throughball was cut out and ran to Ikoko but his pass back to Johnsson was heavy and wide of the goalkeeper, who had to stretch with his foot and could not prevent the ball rolling in off the left-hand post.

Despite Monaco fans' concerns that French prodigy Kylian Mbappe might be leaving, they know they can still trust Radamel Falcao after the Colombian striker hit a treble. The France worldwide Mbappé was left on the bench amid speculation that he wants to join PSG but he was not needed as Monaco equalled the record of 14 consecutive wins in the French league.
