The phone made a global launch under the name Zenfone 3 Zoom and has come to India with an "S" suffix.

The device was launched in India at a price of Rs 26,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart.

For connectivity, the ZenFone Zoom S has a dual hybrid sim, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C.

The biggest USP of the device, the dual lens camera features two modules with 12 Megapixel resolution. The smartphone runs on Zen UI 3.0 atop Android 6.0, which is upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat. The 12 MP Sony IMX362 image lens offers f/1.7 aperture. The Zenfone 4 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

But the key selling point of the Taiwanese OEM's latest flagship model is a dual rear camera system like no other, composed of an "industry-leading" main Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 16MP lens supporting 2X optical zoom and 10X total zoom. The ZenFone 4 Selfie also comes with dual front cameras of 20 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens.

The cheaper Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie also has two selfie cameras, but one is a 20MP f/2.0 120-degree angle shooter, and the other an f/2.4. This setup is claimed to ensures sharp focus on subjects at any distance and ASUS SuperPixel Camera is capable of shooting photos quickly and clearly in night-time or in low-light environments.

The camera on the back also has Optical Image Stabilisation ( OIS) and Electronic Image Stablisation ( EIS) and can record videos in 4K.

All the new ZenFone models come with Android 7.1.1 atop ASUS's ZenUI software, and in the case of the ZenFone 4, 4 Pro, 4 Selfie and 4 Selfie Pro (gasp), ASUS includes the new version 4 of its Android skin, featuring a cleaner de-bloated interface. The smartphone supports company's BoostMaster fast-charge technology as well.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the 5,000 mAh battery, which is present in both devices, though some leaks have previously suggested another, smaller variant with a 4,100 mAh battery instead. The 5.5-inch Full HD display is an AMOLED unit, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The Asus ZenFone 4 will be available in Moonlight White, Mint Green, and Midnight Black colours, while the ZenFone 4 Pro will be available in Moonlight White, Pure Black colour variants. There is a fingerprint sensor offered on the back of the phone. Not only that but the device is also relatively light-weight at just 170 grams.
