"This is not connected to the recent cyber incident at HBO in the U.S". The people arrested apparently worked for Star India, which is one of HBO's distributors in the country, and it seems that HBO just can't seem to catch a break with these leaks because another episode has since found its way online.

A second episode of "Game of Thrones"' penultimate season has leaked online, but this time it wasn't the result of hackers.

A statement from the network confirmed HBO "accidentally posted" the episode titled "Death Is the Enemy" to its subscriber platforms in Spain and Scandinavia "for a brief time" early Wednesday.

Fans have been warned to be mindful of spoilers online, and have reacted with a mixture of joy and displeasure at the mistake.

It added: "The error appears to have originated with a third party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognised".

"August is dark and full of spoilers", wrote one fan on Twitter, while another said the series has been "ruined by people".

"Nothing better than when you wake up and find out game of thrones has been leaked early".

Indian police have detained four suspects, but said the motive for leaking the episode, entitled The Spoils of War, is unclear.

Prime Focus Technologies said the leak "was not a system hack, but an illegal breach of obligations".

A spokesman for HBO Europe blamed an unnamed contractor for the most recent blunder.

Reports indicate that high-definition footage from the episode was initially posted to YouTube, the Daily Motion, Instagram and other social media sites.
