According to CBS affiliate KDKA, two State Police Troopers were reportedly shot in Fayette County Friday night. Belsar pulled a.38 caliber revolver from his waistband and fired a shot that injured one trooper in the hand and struck the other in the abdomen, police said.

Police said the two troopers had arranged to meet with Clarence Belsar, 26, of Fairchance, about 8 p.m., but he walked away when he saw them approaching, state police said in a press release.

Authorities said the man tried to escape and a struggle ensued.

WPXI reports: One of the troopers was life-flighted from the scene to a hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, officials said.

A witness disclosed to Channel 11's Mike Holden that they were in their auto in the Shop 'n Save parking garage when they heard 10-15 shots.

Nobody else was harmed, Ruggery said. The Fayette County district attorney's office is investigating the case. "We will continue to support the police department in their ongoing investigation".
