Amber Alert issued for missing 9-year-old out of Santa Maria

Santa Maria police responded to a report of a deadly shooting on the 200 block of North College Drive at around 9 p.m. Monday.

Daniel is described as 4-foot-5-inches tall, weighs about 90 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. That vehicle in the amber alert was found by authorities, there is no sign of the suspect or victim in the vehicle.

Daniel Morozov is seen in an image provided by the Santa Maria Police Department. Konstantin Morozov is white, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a 2015 blue Volkswagen Golf hatchback, with a California license plate of 7JGG242.

The two might be traveling in another vehicle, possibly a black, late-model SUV, according to police. He's considered armed and unsafe. The relationship between the man and the boy was not immediately clear.

A California boy, whose mother was shot and killed, and whose father was named as a "person of interest" in the woman's slaying, is the subject of an Amber Alert on Tuesday, police said. He was last seen wearing blue jeans. Investigators were paying special attention to global airports and border crossings.
