The Philippine Embassy in London has urged Filipinos in the city to remain calm following the attack on a packed London Underground train that injured at least 29 people Friday.

"We have made a significant arrest in our investigation this morning. You may see more armed officers today - say hello, they are there to help".

Police began a manhunt Friday after an explosion rocked a crowded London subway auto in what officials say was a terror attack during the morning rush hour.

Rudd said the independent Joint Terrorism Analysis Center will gauge whether to keep the country's terrorist threat level at "critical" in the coming days.

The attack was the latest in a series in terror attacks in London this year, including the Westminster Bridge attack in March, and the London Bridge attack in April.

Police said cordons were put in place around the neighborhood to clear the area for police.

Met chief Cressida Dick later told Sky News the force had made "considerable progress" in its investigation into the explosion, which happened during the Friday morning rush hour as the District Line train was pulling into the west London station. Raising the terror status to its highest level, which means another attack is considered imminent, Prime Minister Theresa May said military personnel would replace armed police "on guard duties at certain protected sites which are not accessible to the public".

The Islamic State terror group said an IS "detachment" had been behind the bombing. The report added, a circuit board was recovered from the scene.

Britain's chief counter terrorism officer, Mark Rowley, said last night that this is a very complex police investigation which is continuing at speed.
