  • Wanted Fugitive From Dallas Arrested Near Woodlands Hills Elementary School

One of the suspects, 18-year-old Christopher Gonzalez, was on Texas' Top 10 Most Wanted List, according to the Dallas Police Department, who said they tracked him to the Southland "after he posted his location on Instagram Live".

After being alerted to Gonzalez's Instagram video, Dallas Police worked with the Los Angeles Police to use Global Positioning System coordinates from the video signal to track down his location. A murder warrant was issued for his arrest on August 21.

The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m.in the area of West Chester Drive and Kingsboro Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Dallas police had apparently been following Gonzalez's social media sites and reached out to the LAPD after noticing a livestream on the 18-year-old's Instagram account, De la Luz said.

The two fled on foot and were found hiding in different places by canine officers.

Dallas police were able to pinpoint Gonzalez's whereabouts in Woodland Hills, Calif., when he posted an Instagram video of himself displaying a gun collection, according to the Times.

The second man, who has not been identified, was taken into custody hours later and was also transported to a local hospital.

Gonzalez had been one of Texas' Most Wanted after police said he was part of a group of suspects sought in several home invasions. He is affiliated with a clique of the infamous Bloods gang.

He is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail but will be extradited back to Dallas.
