Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel do have some "history" together, but with the rumor that Matt Damon is appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, the appearance of the actor during Chris Hemsworth's interview does seem a bit suspicious. "It's the mighty Thor not the mighty bore", Kimmel snapped.

His denial comes as Sharon Waxman wrote in an article for The Wrap that during her stint as a reporter for the New York Times, the paper had spiked her investigation into Weinstein after "coming under pressure" and after receiving calls from Damon and Russell Crowe. "I'm on the show!" he declared, saying he had "hacked into the system". "We didn't ride Adam Carolla's coattails", a jab directed at the late-night host.

"I feel sorry for him, he has nothing", Hemsworth replied. It started when, at the end of what Kimmel thought to be a bad show, he jokingly apologized to Damon for bumping him. "I saw a friend in need so I chose to extend a handshake". Hemsworth explained that Damon also brings along his kids, which he doesn't mind because he "prefers them better". "I am not the story here", Damon said.

The accusations that have now come out against Weinstein are "the kind of sexual predation that keeps me up at night", Damon said, adding that he had never seen inappropriate behaviour during time spent making films with Weinstein.

Kimmel then yells for the actor to return backstage to eat the potatoes they left for him, leaving Damon to pretend to take a bite out of Kimmel from behind. Both actors have had films produced by Weinstein in the past, including Damon's breakout hit Good Will Hunting.
