Epic Games just announced that the free Battle Royale mode of its survival shooter Fortnite has amassed over 10 million players. He nevertheless continues to play by creating multiple new accounts using false names to circumvent thee bans.

For those unaware, Epic Games and People Can Fly revealed just a week ago that Fortnite's Battle Royale mode had garnered upwards of 7 million players, and went on to offer bonuses to fans in order to celebrate the accomplishment. Additionally, the complaint against Broom lists circumvention of technological measures in violation of the Digital Millennium Copy Right Act.

"Nobody likes a cheater".

Let's be straight for a second, nobody likes playing with cheaters. These axioms are particularly true in this case. They also issued a threat, perhaps suggesting that Bluehole can attempt to take some legal action against Epic Games for the uncanny similarities of the game.

As seen in the infographic attached to the tweet below, Epic Games and People Can Fly made a decision to not only announce the player milestone that Fortnite has hit, but also figured that fans could use some additional statistics about the game's free-to-play PvP companion mode.

Both defendants are apparently associated with a website that specifically aids cheaters and are facing up to $150,000 in charges for statutory damages if convicted. It seems that Epic Games have found themselves another commercially successful title, although it is unclear how many players will decide to stick around in the long run.
