Multiple people injured in shooting at Swedish market

At least seven people have been injured after a gunman opened fire at busy market in Sweden.

Police Skåne spokesman Fredrik Bratt said: "We received several calls about a suspected shooting in central Trelleborg".

Swedish police said four people were rushed to hospital but the seriousness of their conditions is not yet known. The police initially said that the four victims suffered gunshot wounds, but have later clarified their statement.

"When we get there we found several people who were injured in a few different places".

"We are blocking certain areas and will conduct an investigation".

'I do not have any more information at this time. "But we are at the scene and investigating". We saw someone running outside.

Shortly thereafter, armed police arrived and cordoned off the crime scene, where witnesses had reported hearing a loud "bang". It's packed with police cars in the street'. "I jumped really when I heard the shots", he told local media.
