Mr. Kimmel also said he wouldn't mind hosting the president on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" so he could take a shot at changing the president's mind on a few things.

In an interview with CBS This Morning, Jimmy Kimmel talked about a potential of losing some of his audience. "But I would do it again in a heartbeat", he said about his anti-Republican commentaries. "And I'll add that story came out, like, I think moments before we went to tape on Thursday, and we didn't have a show on Friday". "What I didn't think through was that, everywhere I went, every day of my life, people would be asking me how my son is doing", Kimmel told the NYT.

"And not just the food. but the people there", Kimmel added.

"I've deputized my father to handle all our family and friends, My dad probably has the hardest job here in Brooklyn, maintaining the family guest list", said Kimmel.

The week will include appearances and interviews with an impressive lineup of New Yorkers made good including, Bill Joel, Tracy Morgan, David Letterman, Amy Schumer and Howard Stern. Kimmel said he received letters from former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama following his plea with politicians to guarantee American families universal health care. Now, Kimmel shared that Billy is doing really well and that he is set to have a second surgery very soon.

While speaking to The USA Today, Kimmel said that he never really made a conscious decision to shift towards politics and that those just happened to be two topics that interested him for personal reasons.

"It concerns me, but not enough to change what I'm doing", Kimmel told The New York Times. "And then all of a sudden, I was gone for a week".

Now, when one of Hollywood's most famous executives, Harvey Weinstein, was accused of sexual assaults and rapes, Kimmel is oddly silent.
