Trump accuses Obama of never calling families of fallen soldiers

This tends to get him into trouble because, when Trump does something he's proud of, he boasts that he's the first president to do it - largely because he has no idea what his predecessors did and didn't do during their tenures. He's got an answer for that, too: He "want [ed] a little time to pass". I have, since I have been president, I have.

Today, something similar happened.

The four Green Berets were killed on October 4 when a joint patrol consisting of USA and Nigerien forces was leaving a meeting with tribal leaders in trucks.

The president then chose to brag about how awesome he thinks he is as compared to his predecessors.

"The traditional way if you look at president Obama and other presidents, a lot of them didn't make calls". "I will at some point during the period of time call the parents and the families, cause I have done that traditionally".

This is an outrageous and disrespectful lie even by Trump standards.

Trump claimed that past presidents - including Barack Obama - hadn't written or called the families of slain service members, though Obama spoke publicly during his term about his many interactions with the families of Americans killed in action. Disgusted by Trump's smear, Mastromonaco went to describe Trump as "a deranged animal". The attack happened back on October 6, and while Trump has not yet acknowledged the deadly attack, he has found plenty of time to tweet, golf, attack our free press, and dismantle the US healthcare system. "How can you make that claim?"

Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House on Monday during which he was asked why he hadn't yet commented publicly on the deaths of four USA service members in Niger 10 days ago. "This deliberate manipulation of numbers and facts could lead to messing up the good economy the president inherited from President Obama and hurting the middle class", Schumer argued.

'I don't know if he did. "A lot of presidents don't; they write letters". Excuse me, Peter. I do a combination of both. Soldiers are killed. It's a very hard thing. "I think about this every time I approve an operation as president", he said in a May 2016 ceremony at Arlington. "I don't know. That's what I was told". "All I can do is ask my generals", the President continued.

'Other presidents did not call, they'd write letters and some presidents didn't do anything. "I've written them personal letters".

"President Obama and other presidents, majority didn't make calls", Trump added.
