Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Twix or maybe Kit Kat? The company says it compiled ten years' worth of data on which candy items were the hottest sellers in the three months leading up to Halloween, and Michiganders most often bought the little tri-colored triangles.

Almost 150,000 pounds of Candy Corn is sold in the state during the year, most of which comes in the fall.

The Gem State loves their candy corn.

Idahoans bought 85,903 pounds of candy corn previous year.

The site looked at 12 lists of the best and worst sweets, then surveyed more than 40,000 of their own customers and applied a points system to determine the best of the best and the best of the worst. The states of Alabama, Idaho, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and SC do. Sour candy is another one to avoid since the acid that gives it its appealing tart taste can also weaken your tooth enamel, making you more vulnerable to cavities. Tootsie Pops just took over the top spot in 2017, but second place (and a previous first place champ) goes to salt water taffy. Eh.
