In the wake of this news, Sir Ridley Scott chose to take the unprecedented step of cutting Kevin Spacey's work as John Paul Getty III out of "All The Money In The World", and replaced him with Christopher Plummer. Now, he's attempting what could be his greatest trick yet.

Although the reshoots are expected to take some time, Deadline reported that Scott is determined to keep the film's December 22 release date.

Christopher Plummer broke his silence on the Kevin Spacey allegations in one of the worst ways possible: expressing sympathy for the man accused of sexual harassment, misconduct, assault and even attempted rape. Speaking to Vanity Fair on the red carpet of his latest film, "The Man Who Invented Christmas", Plummer said he feels "awfully sad" for Spacey given the numerous claims, which range from Spacey making sexual advances on minors to the actor having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old. And so I thought, that was it. Ages ago I was in contention for [the role], way back. The actor is pleased with the role, sharing, "I'm fascinated by doing real people".

Very bad things have 58-year-old actor Kevin spacey. "I admire Ridley very much", Plummer explained to a gaggle of journalists when he was asked how he became involved. "That's all I can say, because that's it".

He added: 'Although the situation is very sad. So I was familiar with it, and then Ridley came to me and I agreed. "But I've got to forget that and go and do it, because it's a very well written script and Ridley has been very good". "The script is wonderful".

Plummer spoke briefly at the premiere, and did not mention any of Spacey's alleged victims, as at least Allen had done regarding Weinstein. "I have known so many Scrooges".

In the end, the actor was deprived of the award "Emmi", and also removed his character from the TV series "house of cards", and the spacey took a break in creative activity and is now being treated for sexual addiction.

Spacey's ouster comes amid an increasing number of sexual assault allegations against the actor which have knocked Spacey from a number of projects slated to feature the two-time Academy Award victor.
