The Ministry of External Affairs said that PM Modi is scheduled to represent India on Tuesday at the 15th India-ASEAN Summit and 12th East Asia Summit in Manila, at the invitation of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. And in a highly surreal moment, President Duterte serenaded Mr Trump with a special love song. The participating members of the 12th East Asia Summit are Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the U.S. and Vietnam. Speaking to reporters Sunday, Trump said he will make a new announcement on trade when he returns to the United States.

"It is the first prime ministerial visit in thirty-six years from India to Philippines".

Donald Trump has hailed his "great relationship" with the controversial Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte at the end of a two-day regional summit in Manila.

A joint statement after the meeting said the two sides "underscored that human rights and the dignity of human life are essential, and agreed to continue mainstreaming the human rights agenda in their national programs". His government says the police act in self-defense, but critics say executions are taking place with no accountability. But Trump's rapport with Duterte comes during a time when Duterte is being criticized around the world for approving extrajudicial killings in his war on drugs.

On the ground, military operations continue to clear buildings for stragglers.
