  • Deputies respond to reported shooting near elementary school in Rancho Tehama

Authorities tell KHSL they responded to a report of shots fired at the Rancho Tehama Reserve south of Red Bluff around 8 a.m.

A reported shooting in northern California has left at least three people dead. The gunman was reportedly shot by police. More than 100 law enforcement officials were there dealing with 5 crime scenes.

A 6 year-old child with two gunshot wounds was reportedly transported by helicopter to a hospital. Multiple injuries are also being reported.

An official at the Corning Elementary School District confirmed the elementary school in Rancho Tehama is on lockdown. According to local law enforcement, there were "multiple victims in multiple locations". Police said there were "at least five" shooting scenes.

Rosie DeOliveira, administrative assistant at the association, said that deputies have instructed the community to "shelter in place", stay indoors and stay low.
