  • Tampa Police are investigating a suspicious death in the Tampa neighborhood of Seminole Heights

Police in Tampa released this extended video of a person whom they believe knows something about these shootings.

Police are calling the death suspicious and believe the victim may have been shot.

Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan identified the victim as 60-year-old Ronald Felton.

At approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, police patrolling the area received a call of shots fired and were at the scene within a minute, police said. Police believe the Tuesday morning's suspect lives in or near the southeast Seminole Heights area. Police want residents to stay inside their homes.

Police are asking residents nearby to stay indoors as there is still a massive police presence on the scene.

Spokesman Steve Hegarty said detectives can't immediately say whether Felton's shooting is related to last month's 10-day spree where three people were slain, leading to increased police patrols.

This comes almost a month after a killer shot and killed three people over the span of 10 days in Seminole Heights.

Hegarty said the suspect couldn't have "gone very far, and we're talking to as many people as we can to see what they may have seen". Nebraska Avenue is closed in both directions between Hillsborough Avenue and Osborne Avenue. He was killed at a bus stop along N. 15th Street and East Frierson Avenue. Witnesses described seeing a black man in his early 20's, wearing a dark hooded jacket, running from the area where this shooting took place. In a security video taken moments after Benjamin Mitchell became the first victim on October 9, the suspect is running from the scene.

Seminole Heights is a working-class neighborhood northeast of downtown Tampa that's slowly becoming gentrified.

The killings began on October 9, when 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was shot and killed in front of his home, CNN reported.

This is a breaking news story.
