Sea of Thieves' Day One Patch Isn't What You Think It Is

Sea of Thieves is due for release on March 20. In other words, if you have an active Game Pas sub you can easily switch your PC or Xbox One region to Australia/New Zealand and start playing as soon as the download is done.

Xbox Australia has teamed up with Aussie pirate band Captain Hellfire & The Wretched Brethren to offer a "Sing us a Shanty" service in celebration of the launch of Sea of Thieves. Players will be able to play with their friends on either platform, however, as the game features cross-platform play between the two. Rare took the idea to heart. The item is a stylish eyepatch with a red number one etched onto it, bearing the message "A message in a bottle from Jolly Jefabell washed ashore. Eye patch makers read it and said "aye".

Lastly, three other games will be released on Friday, the racing game MX vs ATV All Out ($49.99), the co-op adventure game A Way Out ($29.99) and a retro-looking dueling game called Western Press ($7.99).

Rare's highly anticipated new open world pirate game, Sea of Thieves, releases tomorrow, and today, Microsoft unveiled the newest trailer for the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive game.

The cheapest copy of Sea of Thieves starting with local retailers and finishing off with online only deals. The user explained that the game was already playable for PC or Xbox One players who have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Right at the end of February, Redditor Jefabell posted "Dear Rare, don't miss the opportunity to release a "Day One Patch" eye-patch with the games Day One Patch".
