Logitech Crayon and Rugged Combo 2 enhance the iPad (2018) experience

Logitech Crayon and Rugged Combo 2 enhance the iPad (2018) experience

Apple today announced a cheaper, Logitech-made stylus for its iPad family of devices called Crayon. The Crayon accessory is a stylus that Apple promises will deliver low latency, tilt support and high sub-pixel precision.

Apple and Logitech also used the presentation as an opportunity to reveal a new ruggedly-designed Logitech-branded iPad case that will suit the company's updated low-price hardware.

This should both make the iPad feasible as a laptop and help it survive the inevitable tumble or two.

Logitech has announced a pair of accessories for the newly announced 6th-generation iPad: the Logitech Crayon and Logitech Rugged Combo 2. The thoughtful secure-sealed design is spill-resistant and the keys are silent so as not to distract surrounding students from their work. This includes an affordable Apple Pencil alternative and a rugged case with keyboard. The stylus charges using a Lightning charger and lasts 8 hours before needing recharged, but take note: it doesn't support pressure. It also features a kickstand with four use modes and angles, as well as a built-in pencil holder specifically made for the Logitech Crayon or Apple Pencil.

The new iPad for education fits perfectly with the Logitech Rugged Combo 2.

Both Logitech accessories will become available to US schools and school districts in the summer.

The Logitech Rugged Combo 2 and Crayon are priced at $99.99 and $49.99, respectively, and will be available for purchase to schools and school districts in the United States starting this summer. Interested education groups can visit this website for more information.
