Phenomenal 'Roseanne' Is The Talk Of TV This Week

After the droves and droves of viewers tuned in to see the hit show from the 1990s return, Trump gave Barr a call to congratulation her, according to The New York Times.

The "Roseanne" reboot aired to a stellar 18.2 million viewers on Tuesday, far outperforming the network's expectations. The premise centers around a working-class family, with the same cast and characters as the original show, but Ms. Barr now plays an avid Trump supporter.

So both Barr's character and the real-life actress are being described as Trump supporters. She said, "I've known him for many years and he's done a lot of nice things for me over the years".

Unclear if Trump is aware Barr had appeared on ABC's late-night show a few days earlier, during which her strongest argument for supporting Trump was "because we don't want [Mike] Pence". She told "The TVLine Podcast" that it is just a matter of getting everyone's schedule work for a new season.

COS suggests that Trump didn't have time to address a laundry list of things, including his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels, yet he has time to call Roseanne Barr over her sitcom success.

But this could also be due to the fact that the show, which first premiered in 1988 and ran for 10 seasons, has always taken place in IL.

"They were unbelievable", Trump said.

The revival premiered two episodes back to back on ABC Tuesday night.

Laurie Metcalf's (Jackie Harris) schedule is particularly hard to get, and Cummings said they are hoping to pin her for a few months straight.

Trump has historically been highly attuned to television ratings, including his own as the host of NBC's "The Apprentice".

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that the show did best in states where Trump is popular, with Tulsa Oklahoma reporting the highest ratings.

She added that she's not an apologist for the president and doesn't agree with all he's said and done.

"I think he voices them (his stances) quite well, "she said in the interview".

"We talked about a lot of things, he is just happy for me", she continued.
