OnePlus 6 with Snapdragon 845 SoC launching in late April

Poised to be another "flagship-killer", the OnePlus 6 may tiptoe closer to flagship-level prices, according to a new report from GizmoChina. Unlike the OnePlus 5T, the upcoming OnePlus 6 will be offering 19:9 aspect ratio. Also, the device which gets certified runs on OxygenOS 5.1.0 based on Android 8.1.0 Oreo with WiFi component WCN3990.

Meanwhile, a story from GizmoChina notes that a source shared pricing and release date information for the OnePlus 6. OnePlus, for its part, has been actively defending the notch, claiming that it is a necessary move to provide the maximum screen real estate without compromising on hardware.

Talking about the optics, the smartphone's dual rear camera setup is likely to consist of one 16MP sensor and one 20MP sensor. The case confirms that the back design of the OP6 will be different than that of the OPPO R15.

All of this comes after an interview with The Verge, where Carl Pei confirmed the OnePlus 6 will sport a notch. So instead of a horizontally placed dual camera setup, expect a vertically arranged dual camera setup located at the center of the OnePlus 6's back.

The flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm SnapDragon 845 and will have an edge-to-edge display, broken only by a small notch at the top of the screen, like the iPhone X. However, other than that, little is known about the new OnePlus. The smartphone was spotted on Geekbench with 6GB of RAM. You can also expect Dash Charge and dual-SIM support as well. If the leaked benchmark score is accurate, OnePlus 6 will be faster than the Samsung Galaxy S9, which clocked-in at 241,470 in the AnTuTu test. This will be followed by 128GB and 256GB internal storage models.

This was revealed in the WiFi certification listing where it clearly mentions the name as OnePlus 6 and model number as ONEPLUS A6003.

- OnePlus has typically priced its phones very competitively in the Indian market. In the year 2017, the OnePlus 5 was revealed on June 20th.
